About me
Get in touchThe human behind the business
I live in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, with my two teenagers, two cats and one husband.
I love parkrun, daffodils, an afternoon cuppa, Joe Wicks workouts, music from the mid-90s, crisps, books with strong female leads, and serial commas when they add clarity to a long list.
The Editwrite office
I work remotely from my home, but I’m always happy to hop on a Zoom or Teams call if we need to chat.
My two office assistants are purrfectionists. They make sure my kit is in working order and that I’m feline on top of things at all times. They certainly keep me on my toes (by stealing my chair).
Life before Editwrite
I grew up in Lincolnshire in an area known for its tulip festivals. After I finished school, I went to the University of Warwick and came out with a BA (Hons) in Psychology and Education.
My career started at Warwickshire County Council, where I spent over 14 years in children’s services planning, performance and commissioning roles. I got myself a reputation for writing clear and concise reports and developed a keen eye for cutting jargon and waffle. You can read more about my roles on LinkedIn.
It took a bit of courage to take a solo leap into the unknown. The council had looked after me from the very beginning, not to mention doing all my IT support and paying me a regular salary. But it was time to move on, and Editwrite was born in 2015.
